The 'good practice in breast and cervical screening for women with learning disabilities' project was launched on 20 November 2000 by Yvette Cooper, Minister for Public Health.

Good Practice in Breast and Cervical Screening for Women with Learning Disabilities
- an NHS Cancer Screening Programmes publication written for all staff who work in the screening programmes or who support women with learning disabilities, including social services and the voluntary sector, and family members.
An Easy Guide to Breast Screening
- a picture leaflet for women with a learning disability to tell them about breast screening and where to get more information.
An Easy Guide to Cervical Screening
- a picture leaflet for women with a learning disability to tell them about having cervical screening and where to get more information.
Copies of the good practice guidance and the leaflets are available free of charge from NHS Cancer Screening Programmes. Bulk copies of the leaflet (10 or more copies) are available from the Department of Health.
Looking After My Breasts
- a picture book, part of the Books Beyond Words series, designed to inform women and those who support them about breast screening and breast awareness.
Keeping Healthy 'Down Below'
- a picture book, part of the Books Beyond Words series, designed to inform women and those who support them about cervical screening.
